Lewisville is great location. There are several lakes nearby to fish. Lake Lewisville, Ray Roberts, Grapevine and Ray Hubbard. May is a great time to catch lots of sandies and hybrids on Lewisville. Good Luck.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- I'd rather be fishing *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

Not to mention, Texoma and Tawakoni for stripers, Joe Pool and Eagle Mountain for whites. If you like to fish you'll like this area.

You guys quit telling Lost Fisher lies. Everyone knows that there are NO fish in Lewisville. That lake stinks for fishing. And Ray Roberts is almost as bad!!!!!! It's so bad, I bet I caught the last 312 out of that lake Monday!!!!!! Hubbard is real good to fish on. And Tawokani. Hehehehehe!!!!!

I second what Bob said. Hubbard is much better. And if you cannot find them then just find Varner and his crew. They will show you where they are. And Tawokani man that is another story if you cannot find big hybrids and stripers on Tawokani then you just need to retire the poles. Over fishing and keeping the undersized hybrids on Lewisville has hurt the fisheries. Come back in about five years or so and it should be back up to par

Hello Lost Fisher You will find the fishing around Lewisville area terrific. If you are located in Lewisville, Lake Lewisville only about 10 minutes and your on the water, Lake Grapevine and Lake Ray Roberts all within about 25 minutes. You will love the area. Many more choices. Also, if you don't have a boat there is the Lewisville barge as well. Many state parks for family fun. Very nice state park on Ray Roberts with a Beach and a nice pier you can also fish off of, they really catch alot from the pier. There are some great Guides on all these lakes, if you are looking for fishing trip or just to learn the lakes. And of course you will love exploring Bass Pro Shops. Not sure if you have an interest but the crappie fishing is also great and these lakes. There is a great crappie club that just formed about 4 months ago that has really great information and they fish all the area lakes. Many guides from these lakes also participate in the club. The web site www.crappieclub.org the name is Crappie Anglers of Texas. Now if you need to Reel in a Realtor to help you relocate to the area. I would be happy to assist, I have been selling the Metroplex for 20 years. WELCOME!

Hubbard is a spanish word and when it is translated into english it means bad fishing. Tawakoni is australian for "fish don't bite here". Lewisville is a canadian word that means "fish bite real good here, eh"

Well Lost Fisher, we are pretty stupid. We will drive 4 hours to fish a different lake when we live on a good lake. SO you will still have that option if you move here.

I have cancelled my fish fry for this year. I have been emailing you and figured you were all busy because I hadn't heard from you. I still have been working too much ( I need to hire someone ). I am going to try to get out one of these days soon.
