I've yet to find a fisheries biologist that says live and let live where cormorants are concerned. Everyone of them that I've talked to wants to reduce the numbers, but they are a federally protected species. You can start working the geometric progression of a species that is increasing at a rate of 10% year and it gets scary after a few years. There seems to be agreement that cormorants eat only fish and average at least a pound per day per bird. That makes for some scary numbers.
