One of my friends is a state trooper with the water patrol on several lakes. He said that in the 25 years he has been patrolling the waters, he has pulled a lot of bodies out and not a single one was wearing a life jacket. Guess if you don't wear a life jacket you will be wearing a death jacket when they find you.

I know this might sound bad but sometimes good does come out of something like this. Meaning look at how many of us will start wearing out vest again. We make our kids wear them so should we! Everyone stay safe, the oils hot gotta go!

May god put his arms around his family and give them support through this tragic time. He went doing something he loved to do. We could only pray to be so lucky.

My wife started bugging me about wearing a PFD and I told her that if she let me buy one of those inflatable PFDs (Sosuspenders etc.) I would wear it. They are expensive ($80 up)But they are worth it. They are so confortable that I forget I am wearing it. She is happier now.

Thanks everyone. Another thing we have all done is go fishing on the boat by ourselves. We get use to doing things so many times and this is when accidents happen. Again thanks everyone and be careful while your out there.
