Fished shallow, 2-4 feet in creeks with minnows. Lots of crappie but most of them small. A few were decent size. I did hang something big, probably a bass but maybe a catfish since I never saw it. I wasn't paying attention and when I looked over, my bobber was gone. I took out the slack and the dang thing was halfway across the creek. I had 6 lb test and really couldn't handle the fish. After a good fight he got in a tree and that was all she wrote. Anyway, apparently the crappie are in the creeks. We caught around 25.

I was about to post a question about them. I'm trying to get there this weekend for a few.
That's why they call it fishing and not catching!

Went back yesterday and did it from the bank. I caught more like that. I think because of no noise. They are in real skinny water and even the trolling motor gets to them a little. I just zeroed in on spots where I would get one and rotated between them. After I would catch one or two I would go to the next hole and every time I would get a bite. I ran out of minnows and went home happy.

Go in the Lynn Creek access. Go past all the ramps. There is a road that makes a loop. Park by some of the picnic tables and just work the bank up and down.

Went to Lynn Creek today. Cost ten bucks to enter the park if not a Grand Prarie resident. Caught 1 keeper crappie and 1 small big mouth on minnows. Fishing slow today. Beautiful place though!Looks very fishy. Great banks to fish off of.

I was out there on Monday. Only caught a few small bass, but I really did like the area. Were you out on the hiking trails?
