yeah, finally after 2 years of crappie fishing, i did it. a limit in 2 hours. actually caught appr 80 crappie, started just catch and release the females and kept the males. i had 2 females that were really big.

they were all in 1' to 3' of water, wind was blowing hard. front was in hard and heavy.....they should not have been biting....and so i dont have 75 people in my spot tomorrow when i go back, it was in tarrant county.....dont worry, any where you can walk, you can find fish....those were all from the bank. creek fishin......

It's great to have helpful hints, but it's even greater when you find them on your own.
Believe me...spending enough time on the water will pay off eventually. I used to think of a single limit is unreachable and that it may be a fairy tale...
The bad side is...as much time and dedication I have spent over the yrs, I am way too spoiled thinking that if I don't catch a limit, it's failure. Thus, I am glad to see anyone's success and for him/her to appreciate the time he/she spent on the water w/o a clue!

Congrats on your first limit!! Nice fish too.
Caught my first ever limit on crappie two years ago, but on Toledo Bend!! Toledo has a daily bag limit of 50/person/day. It took me about 3 hours to do this and almost every cast.

yeah i was looking for the cameras to come out of the bushes somewhere and candid camera dude would jump out. i called for help, but my back up didnt show til they had almost shut off. but at least he was there to help clean them...lol...

Congrats. Nice slabs. Remember my first time but that was 40 years ago. Limit was as many as you could catch and as many as you wanted to clean back then. Glad they have a 25 fish limit per person now.
