Went out this past Sat and Sunday. Main lake temp around 67 late in the day. Still not a big wave of spawners in the water I have been in. I think you could catch 50-100 fish a day out there right now with the right weather. LIGHT LINE. 8 lb is the key for me right now. Set those drags.

Thanks guys, I love hearing that! I fish 8lb on spinning for my shakeyhead and even those little ones will pull some drag. North winds and bright skies forcasted for the weekend...they might just be in that 10 to 15 zone.

Don't rule out top water. We had a pretty good day. Most were caught on soft plastics and a couple including this little piggy, on top water.

Nice smalley. I almost tied on a topwater Monday. Guess I should go with my gut. Canyon has laways been a good topwater lake early and late for me. Guess its that time again.
