Fished Bridgeport today and it started out really slow. We found some birds working and then it was on! We boated 50+ sandbass and one hybrid. Most still had eggs so we released. Needless to say, it was a very good day! Can't wait for some warmer weather.......

I agree, good going! BP has been like that...nothing or very slow then BAM! Fun fishing for sure! You should start seeing the 07' Hybrids as they are 6-9 inches long. Feisty little dudes!

For the first time this year I plan on fishing Bridgeport Saturday or Sunday. Hoping for some sandies, but if not I hear the crappie are starting to move in too.!

I will be camping this weekend at Sid Richardson scout ranch. I may have the opportunity to get some shore fishing in on this trip. Which of the areas that I have numbered would you suggest hitting? (if they are difficult to see, they are numbered 1-5, starting lower right just above Stripling Island, going counter clockwise around the peninsula)

I would go with 8, 2 and 1. Chunk and reel, repeat!

Good Luck!

The hybrid was about 12". Thought it was a Sandie at first, but we realized it and threw it back.

I know we were marking Hybrids on the graph, we just couldn't get any to bite.

Hey Keith,

Do you think this front will mess up fishing tomorrow?

Thanks for all the reports!

Mario

When My son and I went camping there on a Boy scout trip back maybe 6 years ago, we caught a few and watched others catch some large 2-3 lb crappie out of the cove number 5 on your map. Hope it helps...
