Check out the new Shimano Cumara's
I had all St. Croix, but when they raised they're price it was in the ballpark for me to look at the other top brands.
really impressed w/ the Cumara so far.

I would go with Kistler due to the sensitivity, light weight, waranty, and customer service.

I guess I'll weigh in on this one....A real good friend of mine gave me one of these $350+ rod a while back and I am extremely greatful for it, however I have been using the Allstar rods ($150) for quite some time now and I still can't find $200 diff in the one he gave me to make me spend that much more on a rod......I say pick out a good Allstar and save a few dollars to spend on a good reel and more tackle!!

I hear the Doybins rods are very well balanced but I have never seen one.

I remember the morning I bought the spinnerbait crucial from you when we met up at Southwestern parts. We started talking about how great the Powell's were since I based my purchase of those rods on the comments you had posted about them. Then the Cumara came out and Im hooked again. They wont replace any of my Powells but they are replacing what Crucials I had (except for the crankbait models) and the lone Kistler MagTS I had. Those rods are just flat out insane! Plus I just bought a Core it should be a sweet set up.

I agree, I have a Cumara and a Core combo that I use for pitching jigs and I love it. It is light and sensitive.

I am partial to the Falcon Cara rods. they are the best rods I have owned. They resopnd to every demand I have made on them. And if something does go wrong my local Academy will take care of it.

Im about to upgrade all my rods and really like the Kistler Mag TS lineup. But Id like to hear what you guys would go with and why? Im hoping you might have some suggestions I havent heard of or thought about. Lets hear it guys.

DannyG I would wait for a rod riot at Academy and rig out with Falcon Lowriders for about 73.00 apiece. I did it last year and bought 10 rods at once. This is the first time I have ever had every rod and reel the same in my arsenal. Now everything has the same feel no matter what I am fishing other then the line difference (braid for plastics, copolymer for everything else).
