I dont know these people, but the magazine was good (the four issues I got out of 12 I paid for), and danny kings was real good. key word being WAS. now the magazine doesnt come out anymore, and danny kings is now a tub of cotton with some tallow mixed in.

yeah, smells like somone got greedy to me..took a good thing and cut corners and try to do it on the cheap...did they think we wouldnt notice? well...I'd say a lot of people are noticing. I can live with the magazine folding, these things happen...but to ruin a good, established product like Danny Kings that had many devoted customers...well, karma's gonna get them!

HUH, The same guy that bought the magazine, bought the bait, that all of the former pro staffers were using. I wonder if that is the reason for the exodus to other bands? I personally don't care about the few dollars lost, but to ruin the best bait out there is inexcusable. That's just NOT right...

had a buddy really go off on these guys on a slow fishin day. If enough of the subscribers get together you can get a lawer and everybody can get their money back or at least get a judgement against these bozos.

I dont really have a dog in this fight but from the sounds of it, it appears that these guys where out make a quick buck at the expence of fellow fisherman... really sad man!

Luke Clayton here. I thought it a good idea to let everyone know the facts about Catfish Gold Magazine. I was the editor of this publication from the get go NOT the owner or publisher. Style Publishing, which is noted on the masthead, is not the publisher either, they simply put the magazine together each issue, and, in my opinion, did a great job. I have not been involved with the publication since the Dec. issue, when I ceased getting paid. As an outdoors writer, I write for pay, just like a welder welds for money or an electrician wires houses for money... When the pay stopped, I stopped being the editor. To my knowledge, the magazine has not printed since Dec. but I am not positive about that. The folks at Style Publishing are directing inquiries to the owner/publisher. Good fishing to everyone.

Style Publishing Group did not and has not received subscription revenue for Catfish GOLD. So, we are not holding and have not stolen anyone's money.
