Went to a friends 10 acre private lake in Wills Point Sunday and we, my buddy and I, caught probably 60 crappie. We ended up keeping 34. All but 2 of the fish I cleaned were males. We caught them on just about everything we threw at them. The lake was stocked with crappie 2 years ago. I also caught and kept 20 to 25 BIG red ear and bluegill bream. Man crappie and big bream, can't beat that with a stick.

I love pond fishing!!! Did you guys catch them all from that dock, working the banks, or from a boat? I have to admit, I'm a wee bit envious. Nice mess of fish. Love that flaky white meat!

We caught all the crappie on the other side of the lake in some flooded grass in about 2 foot of water. The bream I caught off a point on the same side as the dock down to the right from the dock about 75 yards away. If you look in the dock picture you will see a grey box on the other side. That is a deer feeder. We caught the crappie fishing a stretch of about 40 yards of that bank in front of the feeder. Nearly every cast with a minnow got a bite.

Wow, I wish I had a friend like that.
