It's about time. Quote your source. I only know of 2 parks owned by the City of Grand Prairie.

Here's alink from the city website. It only mentions Lynn Creek Park and if towing a boat cost is still $10.

Anyone know how much for a season pass for those of us not residing in Grand Prairie. I rarely launch my boat into JP since usually travel to other favorite lakes. Perhaps, maybe because I have access to both slips (Lynn Creek & State Park) so I don't really need to go far to find them.

And when I do, I launch at Lynn Creek Marina ($10 per launch, but free for me since I stored my boat out there).

However, I hate the traffic there. Not all boaters are experienced boaters, and it can be frustrating waiting for your turn. Often times, rude recreational boaters will cut right thru the launch pad as they have very little knowledge of boating etiquettes(or seem not to care).

Why don't people get their boat ready to launch while waiting in line rather wait until they are actually back in and blocked the launch pad before they would get out to do the boating rituals?
Happened too often not to notice...so frustratingl!!!!

It is 100 bucks a year, good for all ramps except the State Park.

You can get a state park pass for a lot less than $100 and use all the state parks in Texas as well a get a decent Magazine subscription.

So is this Grand Prairie resident free to park thing confirmed or not? I'm confused as usual.

That's why they call it fishing and not catching!

the lady at the gate of lynn creek park told me this however i might have misunderstood her to say it was for all the parks, loyd and britton as well however i'm not sure.

i do know that all grand prairie residents can get into lynn creek park for free with the exception of boaters launching their boats, in this case the $10 fee still applies.

That's a rotten deal. I live in Mansfield, grew up all my life in Arlington. I want a free pass. realmad Heck - Joe Pool was the place to party back in High School. Wasn't any water there yet though.

I have been buying the 100 pass for years now. It's worth it though.
