I am fishing northern Louisiana and would like to know at what water temp. do sunfish spawn. Thanks

The "book" answer is spawning starts at about 75 degrees and continues until temps fall below that. I've already had a spawn this spring in ponds at about 72 degrees water temp....around the full moon of each warm weather month, spawning activity peaks.

The bream in my local pond (south of Houston) have begun fanning out the nests near the bank. Water temps were 73 to 76F this past weekend.
As for me and my house we'll serve the Lord.
