Was on my way to play softball at Big League Field of Dreams and saw a couple vehicles pulled off near a creek/river in this area. Is that a runoff of Joe Pool and is the bite good down that way? Would sure save me a couple miles rather than heading to Tawakoni the next time I want to take the little one.

I think your talkin about Walnut Creek. I went there after work on Friday and caught 3 sandies in the first 30 minutes. Then fished for another 30 minutes with no luck. And yes that runs into Joe Pool.

There are two creeks that go under 360...the wider one is walnut creek.........loyd park is on the banks of walnut creek...and gives you access to two creeks that go under 360

Thanks. Yeah, I believe I saw the sign for Loyd Park. Is it normally that crowded?

I have never had a problem finding a spot to fish, and I have never seen more than 5 trucks parked off the bridge. There is plenty of creek to fish there.

what are they catching out that way? I know the sand bass should be in the creeks right now. Are there any crappies in the creek now? Also, how do you get to the creek? Do I drive off the road heading south or is there an entrance somewhere?

If you are on 360 south you gotta pass the bridge and head back north, theres a dirt road on the left hand side of the road. Thats where you access the creek at from the hwy. I have only fished for sandies there, can't speak for the crappie bite.

Ok thanks. I'll let you know how it goes. I'll probably head out Saturday morning for a couple hours.
