I don't know if you have a boat or not but if you don't I would try the barge a lynn creek marina on Joe Pool. Also if you want to do some bank fishing right now the crappie should be moving in shallow any day now if they are not there already so hit the creeks and you could probably pick up some nice slabs!

thanks stucky...the location youre talking about is near the bridge correct? where there's a wall of rocks seperating the marina with the lake,so which side would you fish on..the inside portion thats with the marina (left side of rock wall)..or the outside with the lake(right side of rock wall).

Thanks

Neither - he is talking about a Fishing Barge located in the Marina. As far as creeks go, Loyd Park has some nice creeks that are holding crappie right now. They are flooded well, i had to put my waders on, versus the rubber boots, just to get to some good spots. Came home with six nice ones though.

Danhs, I was talking about the fishing barge at lynn creek. I am not sure where you are talking about, haven't been to Joe Pool more than a couple of times, but that rock wall sounds like a good place to start if you can wade in it!

I don't know the lakes you are going to, but I can tell you this lake has them everywhere. I mean I have caught crappie from 18" to 12' of water in the last few days. Yesterday it was 11'-12' in another finger of this lake and on this finger I live on this morning I could only catch them in like 5'-7' of water.

Rule nothing out!

I've found a few males in 1ft. of water this week, another week the females will be there. The water temp was 64deg yesterday went back this morning it was 60deg. that's how quick the temp can change.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
