Hey i have an old artificial CHRISTmas tree that will be replaced. I was thinking of throwing it in the lake. Good idea?

Probably not due to the wire in it. If it's like the one I have it would come apart easy and would take way too long to secure all the joints.
Just use brush, it is just as quick and you won't have to worry about it rusting.
