I dont know if this will help but there is a Wholesaler right before you get to Llela. He only sells them by the pound to fisherman and takes Cash. Dont remember the exact streets. If I remember correct its where Valley View dead ends. See Ya

I know where that Wholesaler is Godzilla, I didn't realize he actually sold to anglers. I thought he only sold to businesses.

the wholesale bait shop is Mill St. and Valley Ridge. The Barge is just north of there, north of justin rd. and right off the lake. Big Jacks is the gas station on the east side of I-35 at 407(justin rd.) In Lake Dallas, on the east side of i-35, there's a bait shop right off the service road.
If you're fishin' Old Alton Bridge, I'd get there early.....I haven't fished there this year, but every year about this time people flock to fish the crappie/sandy run. If the water is at a decent level and you find too much fishin' traffic, you can go further north on Swisher and take a left on Hickory Creek Rd. Take it down, past the railroad, down the hill and park where the road makes a big turn. That's the same creek and if you have waders, wade a little down stream to some cement obstructions and you can nail 'em sometimes. If you don't have waders, you can take a narrow trail downstream a little.
Also, where the creek feeds the lake, you can take the trail to your left and follow it down to some cool spots.....it goes along the creek somewhat and there are a couple opening you can fish from that not many people seem to go to. That trail goes all the way to Old Alton Bridge, but that's an hour or so walk.

I tried the bridge yesterday with minnows and failed. Not sure why but the creek is way up...
