Any reports on bass or crappie form a yak? Anyone recommend specific campsite locations to camp and launch a yak conveniently?

The last loop has some good sites with water front but you will need to get there tonight or very early tomorrow to get one. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/pwdpubs/media/park_maps/pwd_mp_p4503_103f.pdf

I went to the lake yesterday to eat lunch. The lake still looks like coffee and the wind has been howling here all week. Lake is complely full right now.

Thanks for the info, is/are there any protected areas a kayaker could fish in high winds? I have been through the park years ago, first time to camp or fish there, will be there next week during week.

Depends on the direction. It is a pretty open lake as you can tell from the map west or southwest shouldn't be bad but straight south or southeast and it could be ugly if the wind is up.
