I live in deer park. which is by Houston. So if I can go all the way up to denton and find the fish with no problem Why not post. I will not go fishing up there till mid april. By then I will go hammer the crappie and I will post a location on them to. If I can go and find fish. Maybe some of you guys that can't find the fish should just hang up your rods and find a different sport. I tought I was doing you guys a favor. So you to can catch some fish. If your scared about getting poison Ivy or allergic to stuff maybe you need a new hobby.

this forum is about guys helping out other guys find fish. there is nothing wrong with doing your own leg work. but not everyone has the time to do everything the hard way. if youre not on here reading and posting under that specific pretense, maybe you should quit wasting all of our time...not to mention your own. if you want your own secret hole (understandable) get off the forum and go find it, and for god's sake dont tell nobody. and when that hole quits on you dont read this forum for any new ones.

There are always a bunch of people trying to get in on the good fishing that the creek has to offer. Heck, why not drive 250 miles to a spot that obviously someone else told you about and give out the good news to the world? I'm sure they'll be thinking of you the next time they go and don't catch anything. With friends like that, who needs enemas? On another note, If I do choose a new hobby, would you like me to show you what it is?

I do not have a problem with people sharing tips, tricks, depths, and what not on this fishing forum. I have a problem with people posting exact spots that fish were caught, especially in an already over crowded area. If one does not have them time to find there own spots, I suggest they find a different hobby. If you love to fish you will find a way to make the time. Locating fish should be time consuming, that way when you find them it is more rewarding. If you don't want to do any leg work and want to catch fish, I recommend visiting a stocked catfish pond. In fact I saw one off HWY 175 about 30 miles southeast of Dallas the other day. Pay your 5 bucks and go catch some fish.

or maybe if you dont like what goes on this forum...get the hell off. did you just register to whine? why dont you come on down to rowlett crk and i'll share some hyb's and sandies with you so you wont feel so stepped on. my god you act like the fishing world doesnt already know they every strong creek out of every lake is full of them.....THATS WHY THERE ALL CROWDED MAN! this is absolutely the stupidest conversation i've ever had. my old lady whines less than you two.you should be able to find fish in any major creek near any major lake right now. i know, because i do it daily on several different creeks, so i was not one of the ones without the time to do the leg work. when i pull up and someone's in "my spot" i go fish another spot. and usually fish it till i limit.QUIT FREAKIN CRYING

jdavis7873 No I have enough hobbys and you are probably will slow me down. I never gave the exact spot I fished. I just said how I got there. That creek, I think is over 10 miles long. With kayaks you can go just around any where you want and fish where ever you want to. and for those who get mad about post like this just remember this is AMERICA where we are free. One of the rights we have is freedom of speech. So If I want to write a report about the fish I caught. It is my right to do so. If you don't want to read such reports just log off.

Marty should go back to middle school and take a spelling/grammar class.

The last two years this stretch of Hickory Creek has not been productive due to the low water level in the lake. Before that my sons and I used to fish the creek most weekends during the white bass run, usually always caught some fish, sometimes a lot of fish, and often never saw another angler. I was excited about fishing this spot this year since the water level is back up. Then when I saw Marty-mar's first posting on this string I got a sick feeling because I know how popular this web site has become in the last couple years.
My oldest son and I went there Tuesday night. In the mile or so along Hickory Creek Road between Country Club Road and the railroad tracks we counted 15 parked cars/trucks. It reminded me of what has happened to Denton Creek in the last few years along 377 during the run - a lot of fishing pressure. The key difference here is that there is less water than at Denton Creek. I don't blame Marty-mar, he was just filing a report and sharing information, but I am saddened because it seems like my boys and I have lost something we really valued.
As far as the fishing went, we fished several spots along the creek for about two hours and brought back six decent sandies. Saw one fellow with a very nice hybrid on his stringer. Quite a few of the folks we saw fishing there were not having much luck.

How about we stick to fishing talk and not have these debates on the Texas FISHING Forum. Go find another forum for that...as for me fishing the creek, I limited out in about 2 hours yesterday. Yell at me all you want, it makes me smile

God Bless America Marty. Give me an effing break. Is it hard to fish wrapped in an American Flag, with a bald eagle on your shoulder? You forgot to mention God in your proclamation of rights. I didn't realize I was infringing on your civil liberties. Post what you want, no need to throw the "Patriotic Card" when it isn't needed. Save it for some really important message board posting. Actually Bayou kind of stole my thunder. My new hobby was going to be grading your posts for grammatical errors. Where is my red pen? So far, it looks like you'll be getting held back this year.

Very nice fish Marty. But from the looks of the resulting thread, JD may need to sponsor a training course on how to respectfully post and consider opinions of others on the TFF.

Maybe if they caught more fish they would not be so hostile. Just to get on the forum to critic other peoples post. Spend more time outdoors. Get a life. I did not think I was going to get graded for putting a post and showing pics.
