the spawn at joe pool has def. started saturday i caught 7 keepers from the barge with like 20-25 throwbacks the fishing was awesome they mainly wanted minnows but i did manage a 13 incher on a jig the females are now starting to outnumber the males i caught 2 males (which were solid black) and the rest were females and the females had eggs coming out of them my buddy caught a 2.03LB crappie that took the day tourney and the weekly one here are the big ones of the day one at 12 and the other at 13 inches  and here are a few from the lewisville barge i caught the day b4  i cant wait to get back out there this weekend

Yea, i got a jig tying kit this weekend, and have been tying up a few. Can't wait to give them a try this week.

Way to go Anthony! The fish may be at the barge but they aren't in the coves in the lower end of the lake. I checked a few coves in the lower end of the lake and the warmest water I found was 57deg. I'm still catching them in 23ft of water. I did hear they are begining to show up in the south end of the lake before the rains. You need to go fish the coves in Lynn Creek Park you'll catch them there when they're in there thick.

yea i havent heard that they r in the creeks thick yet but they are starting to show up at the barge ooo ok i will have to give that a try thancks

What barge u was fishing. Lynn Creek Marina Barge or the Joe Pool marina barge in the state park?
