Hooked, it's entirely luck of the draw, you catch them the same way you catch any other common carp.
So you either have to get lucky...or fish a water with a lot of mirrors in it, and then still get lucky lol.

Here is a picture of a 75# Flathead caught from Richland Chambers Res., the day before Mothersday 2007. My Uncle Butch and I caught this Fish, another 40# flathead and about 1/2 doz Blues from 2-6 lbs. out of 10' of water on a pearch using a trotline.  Michael Ryno

Couple from the tourney this past weekend. Got 3rd with 295.11lbs of fish. Winners had 349.09. Totals for all 15 2-man teams 2804.08lbs with 133 fish caught. 43lb Smallmouth Buffalo  30lb Common Carp
