P Just kidding about the title, but it does have a bearing. Here's the deal. Showed wife Hag's thread about being back-seated. She says," You do that to be all the time"! I finally 'fessed up. I said NOT! I did point out, though, that she would be MORE than welcome up on the front deck IF we had one big enough. She says, "OK. Go LOOK"! So, I am. Then read the thread about BigLeslie's new boat. Nice one, BL, and a good price, too! Now here's my problem. If BL lives up to his handle, I'm not sure how he fits comfortably in a Skeeter SX cockpit! I'm a beefy 6'3" with 34" inseam and Skeeter was #1 on my "LOOK" list. Went over to Hurst Fun 'n Sun and started out looking at the TZX 190. Could NOT get me knees under the dash without doing some sort of contortionist thing and it was the same getting out. ZX's are a little more boat than I want. SX 190 was a little better as far a knees under dash, but the seat felt hard as a rock and the way it was made I sorta felt like I was sitting on a stump and NOT a big stump! Know what I mean? Then I moseyed over and tried on a Ranger 185. Now that FELT like a comfortable ride!! SO, I'm looking for make/model input from BIG BOYS or pee wee's who RIDE with BIG BOYS who feel comfortable in their cockpits. There are many other considerations, but a comfortable ride is certainly oneof them. Thanks in advance and hope I didn't BORE you!! Hossman

Triton.... Has plenty of leg room and they also have those new seats that are supposed to provide better support for you back.

Hossman, If you want a Skeeter, contact Mike Prengler. His website is www.skeeterteam.com and his email is michael@prengler.com He lists and sells Skeeter Team members boats, and other boats that his dealer has. He has some fantastic deals on used boats. Often the Team Member is selling their boat and the buyer has one to sell as well. He doesn't charge for this service either, so you can trust him. Tell him Kelly sent ya. You won't be disappointed. You could always look at gettin' some sort of a bay boat that might have a larger front deck.

progator, Triton is next on my "LOOK" list. Rain forecasted this weekend. Might "LOOK" some more!
Kelly, As always, thanks for the info. Maybe I'll "try on" a ZX, see how it fits. Didn't really try one @ Fun 'n Sun. Thought it might be more boat than I really need. On the other hand, a little more is better than not enough. At least that's what the wife tells me and I already got not enough!!

Hossman, I am not a pee wee by any means. I have a skeeter and have the same problem you talked about. I have to put one knee beside the console and the other under it. Other than that the boat is great, full front deck and good performance. The way I look at it is the time that I spend driving the boat is no where near the time I spend standing on the front of it. If and when I decide to change that will be one thing I will look at. To this point I have not rode in anything that had more leg room than Bazztex's 21' Express. I am 6'8" and could strech my legs all the way out and still lacked 6" touching the bulkhead and it has comfortable seats and a good ride. Just .02 cents worth from a Big Un!!!!

If you ride in a Ranger you will buy a Ranger, enough said. Ride is related to comfort, safety, and engineering none of the other can touch. Year after year number one in customer satisfaction. Ranger Boats building one dream at a time. Go see Mike at Diamond Sports Marine just North and West of Fork. Or Brian or Gary at Gary's Marine in Gaitesville.
The will treat you so many ways your bound to like'm.

I'm a big ol fella, and I have the Champion 202. The front deck is big enough to land a jet on, and the seats are comfortable too. There's even steering room between the tire around my stomach and the wheel.

Hossman, I have a Ranger 185, and also being a "healthy" individual, I can tell you there is plenty of room to sit comfortably at the wheel or anywhere else on the boat. If you go with the 185 I don't think you'll be disappointed. And you can't beat the ride!!

Hossman I'm 6'3" too with a 34" inseam as well (not telling my waist size!) Onebiggdaddy summed up my thoughts pretty well. I have to be careful that my knees don't bounce into the switches while I'm driving, just figured it was something I'd have to get used to, it would really be my only real complaint as well.

I agree with mmurphf. I have ranger 487vs and it's the best ride and comfort I've own and I've owned several other brands. (I'm Not A Pee-Wee)

I've also got a Ranger, a 91 361V. BL probably can't fit in mine but I have never had any major problems with it. If I every get another boat I guarantee you it will be a Ranger.
