Setyr Rods, been using them for a little over a year now, finding they have been the best value for the money, and they are american made. I used to be a big fan of the Shimano Crucial, but I've had problems with their rod tips breaking off easily. Setyr rods are also labled well so it is easy to figure out which rod is best for which application. I've notice better sensitivity with the Setyrs.

Shimano Crucial Line or Falcon Cara Line
Both are great rods, with a variety of application specific rods.

Dobyns has 52 models starting at $169.00. No reason to go any where else.

All Falcons teamed up with Revos. Same here. Falcon's have been in my hands for half my life now.

There are alot of good rods out there. You have loomis, Falcon, All Star, Shimano, Hendrix, and Setyr. These are some of the more common rods for quality. I myself have chosen Hendrix and i am slowly transferring all my rods over. Mike cares for every rod like he was building it for himself. So send him an email and hook up with him so he can show you he's rods. Trust me when i say you will love them.

Whatever rod you have confidence in is really the best one. Having said that, I use Loomis rods because of their quality, customer service and warranty. I've bought nearly all of mine off of ebay for at least $100 off the MSRP. You just have to be patient.
