My vote goes to spider wire braid. Used it when it first came out and ruined me on braided line. I just now gave Power Pro a shot because of all the good things I have heard and I have to say that I am glad I did.

Vanish for sure, and cajun red is close with it, mainly because its red. I will never buy red line again, it turned my gold shimmano red!

WOW, I am starting to wonder, I fish nothing but Berkley Vanish Floro and I have never had a problem with breakage, winding or anything. I fish a lot and I have had good luck with it, not saying anyone has not but I'm glad I haven't or I would be shopping for new line. My 2nd choice of line would have to be Suffix.

stren does suck, I don't have a problem with vanish...what's yours? My problem with Vanish is that it breaks too easily.(On hook sets and scraping on wood/rocks) P-line & Seagar make a better fluorocarbon type line as far as I'm concerned.

you cant even set the hook with vanish, it will break. 12 lb test vanish is like 4 lb test.

i have set hooks hard in 5-7lb fish with 14lb vanish and never broke off...Well once but he had me around a stump.
i still think the best way is fried.

I don't really like Trilene XT, although XL is OK and Big Game is great.
I like original stren.
Iron silk ain't so hot either.

Suffix but because of the stretch not because of problems with it breaking. Now Vanish Gold sucks, the gold wears off in about a minute. But I have did not have a lot of problems Vanish in general. I do like Seagur much better. But overall I have to say P-Line was the worst I ever used and will not go back. It was problem after problem and I kept going back to it because so many folks here on the forum said it was good. But Im DONE with it now.
