I was gonna say bone Popr- and green frog. They liked the frog moved fast last weekend- so use the horny toad, or Sizmic Toad. watermelon colored with the biggest hook you can find..lol. Superline 5/0 Gamakatsu works for me. Throw the frogs on 80# braid. and the popr on 17 # flourocarbon. Found fish on the outside edges of the grass. bite only lasted 30 minutes after the sun came up though.
~~ The chap stick thing is an excellent idea, as my line kept sinking and making me loose action in the bait, or made a whipping sound, sure the fish came feel that if I can hear it.

The Flourocarbon sinks. It isn't the best for topwater baits. Try 20 pound braid or 15 pound mono for the yellow magic. It should work better. The chapstick could help the flouro too.

I use Yozuri line 12 lb, and its a sinking line, so I will try the Chap stick! I really like that line, except with my Topwater lures. Great tip!

I like chrome/black Zara Spooks reg size and also use a Yellow Magic in bone or alewife.
When the need arises--and it does--you must be able to shoot your own dog.Don't farm it out--that doesn't make it nicer.it makes it worse.
