hey friends. It has been a while since I have posted on the forum. I have been slacking off with my fishing lately because of a new job. My friend really wants to head out to fork today to try to catch some crappie. We will be out on the 515 bridge (where I usually fish at night), and I was wondering if you guys have any advice for that area.I usually fish with minnows under the bridge, but I am not sure how it would work during the day time or during this odd weather we have had. I thank you all for your support, as you always come through. Good fishing to you all!

All I know is the lake is muddy, the gates are open which means there will be some current. I talked with a bass fishin buddy earlier this morning, they fished yesterday,he said the bridge at Burch creek was covered up with boats but he didn't see anyone catch anything.

Brett, I fish Fork last week and the fishing was slow. I tried west 515 bridge twice with no results. I did not mark any bait fish at the bridge. With all of the rain we had at the first of the week, they will properly be releasing water at the dam. This will not help the fishing at all. The water was already stained when I was there last week. I would try jigs in stained water. If I was going to Fork I would try a different plan than 515 bridge. I would fish south of 515 bridge in clearer water.
Hope ya'll do well and please post your results.

This is not good news at all. I usually have a lot of luck on 515, but I can understand now why I might not have any today. Thanks guys. Still have not left yet. CC maybe....ha.

Fished fork all weekend, and as of late tuesday night all we'd caught under 515 were a few sand bass. The only crappie caught all weekend were in standing timber in 20 feet of water on orange and blue jigs from the jigum special. All five were keepers. The guy at the minnow bucket said running creek was holding and people were doing well on minnows, but we never made it up that far due to wind. Good luck
