fished the coves on the main lake last weekend. a few crappie are starting to show up. once the water settles back down you would probably do best fishing the coves or creeks. the barges at joe pool are not that good.

They are getting them good out in the slips, I am hearing good reports of the creeks (before the rain) they were getting them in 2-3 foot on minnows. They didnt like jigs too much in the creek, but I think a vertical drop on a long rod would solve it. Havent been to the creeks myself, I have been at the barge about 2x a week, it is still slow, but they are moving shallow.

I was having great luck with jigs on the long pole in the creek last weekend.
Hope the water goes down enough before Saturday, to keep up the good luck i was having.
Anthony, you and Gatorback ought to come out to Loyd this weekend on the creeks with me. i will be there by 7:30. PM me, i will give you my #.

Thanks for the offer HWGIV, but I gotta take a raincheck on it, cuz I got work on SAT, and easter sunday also is my moms BDay this year. I will be out there all day FRI (tomorrow)
