Anyone been checking the water level at Grapevine since the storms. It is just about at 5 feet high and may still be rising. I had planned to fish Friday out of Murrell in my boat with Rudy C. but drove out there and the parking lot is flooded again and the ramp obviously closed.

The gate attendant said he was told it will be weeks at least before it is reopened.

Anyone know about ramps on the south side...?

Try the high water ramp at Katie Woods.

Also, you might pull up the City of Grapevine's website and see what they have to say. They usually give the latest information on the ramps, etc., there.

Lake Grapevine:
The following boat ramps are closed due to high water: Lakeview (North & South), Sandbass, scotts landing, trawick, mcpherson slough and katie's woods.

Add Murrell on the north side and here we go again...

Grapevine Lake ramps that the city controls. This is going to be another frustrating year on the Vine if the water level stays up like last year. bang More reason for them to improve the parking for the high water ramps. We do need the rain. With the increase in the population in the metro-mess I'm guessing the lake levels will be held higher to reduce the water rationing in August. popcorn

I went to the Katie Woods ramp, amongst others today and Katie Woods ramp was open. Dove ramp had 4 trailers in the parking lot but the courtesy dock broke loose and is some 50 yds up in the cove. Couldn't get to meadowmere as they had Kimball closed off on both sides of the meadowmere entrance doing road repair.

Things are not looking too good right now, and if we get another gulley washer before they can drop the lake down 3 or 4 feet, Spring fishin is screwed on the Vine.

We got in at Scott's Landing...but the members only ramp. But, we didn't know that until we got back. They weren't mad, but then again there wasn't a sign up when we launched either. There was one when we got back though. LOL scared

Folks, the lake is only 5 ft high, we will have PLENTY of access until we reach about about the 10ft mark from what I remember from last year. Spring fishing wont be screwed because of the ramps, it will be screwed because right in the middle of the spawn the lake will be dropping several feet. They are already releasing over 300 CFS out of Lewisville which only needs to drop about 2 more feet, then they should start pulling it out of the Vine. We will be ok!

And....5 ft high put it over the ramps. I was there yesterday. And I think we realize that they are releasing water.
