is this where henrietta creek and denton creek meet? see the faint red arrow in the middle of the pic. if so, can you access it from the north off 1171? looks like there are some dirt roads that run close to it.

Ragin - that is the spot you can park at the southern bridge on 377, cross the tracks, and walk down the power line cut and then snake along the private property to get back there. Its probably close to 2 miles from the asphalt is my guess. Not sure about getting to it coming from the west

I don't think guns are allowed out there... I heard someone say a gamewarden said that area near the creek is corp property and it's illegal.

Ragin,
Your correct and there are some roads Old Old roads that lead there the only problem is they are now gated and Locked. Used to be alot of fun and excellent fishing... I only know 3 ways in now
(by water) (Through private entrance permission) and the good old fashion many mile walk..
By Water or by land neither are a walk in the park so be prepared to spend a good part of your day getting there and getting out and strongly suggest going with someone whos been there. Late spring is great time when you dont mind getting in the water..

I've had some friends hear gunfire close when they took the long walk up to THE HOLE. Thought about packing, but haven't done so.

Yeah at least stay low and wear your armor. There is a group of true idiots out there this year... Not sure what they are trying to prove. Someone really needs to let those guys know that the gun range is only 2 miles away. and they can shoot all they want without risking a bad accident.

Yes I live nit far from there and used to go there almost quite often several years ago where the 2 creeks meet and woul catch the heck out of sandbass and sometimes crappi! A motorcross/painball park now covers the entrance and was there a few weeks ago ridden my dirtbike and rode back there to that spot. NOBODY there fishing! Hard to get to. I asked them if I could bring some fishing gear and either walk back there or bring my travel-boxed ultralight and ride back there and go fishing and they said sure! was going to go this weekend, but the rain muddied up the water and creek was flowing quite hard. I heard today people were catching some nice catfish in the current bt the bridges of 114 and the one I like to go to is right off 35 and not many people go there and is perfectly legal . went there last week before the rains came no sandbass or crappie, which was unusual, but caught quite a few black bass. You do have to walk east quite a ways to find the good spots, but sometimes it very worth it! Good luck to all!

I walked all the way to the hole testerday and there were two boats there catching fish every cast. The bank was to steep to fish from at the hole. And the places were you could get down to the water was not as good. I did end up catching about 15 sandies.

We went Sunday evening and had a hard time finding a good spot to access as well. We did end up with a few sandies. Saw one boat go by said he had 20, ran into a guy coming from the hole with about 25. How long does it take JCW to walk to the hole I've only been there once by canoe.
