Howdy Y'all
My wife mentioned sunday about us going to the D/FW area the first weekend in April to spend our 1st wedding anniversary there !
She also talked about fishing there and I'm wondering where the best place to go for a boatless couple is ? If the spawn is already off by then where can I pick up some TNT so we will still have a "blast" fishing ? wink

Mr.Clyde,

At this present time I have the 5th of April available and is a Saturday. I would highly recommend coming to Lake Fork, it is only an hour and a half from Dallas. Spawn is just getting underway as we speak so you'll be here in prime time fishing. In fact, spawn lasts well into June every year. Let me know if I can be of some assistance.

Bass Regards,

Jeff

MrClyde,
If you have the time and the money, I would take Jeff up on his offer. If not try the fishing barge at Ceader Hill State Park, on Lake Joe Pool. It is off of IH20 in Ceader Hill. It has good crappie fishing plus some good bass fishing. On the boat ramp side of the barge (from gas pumps to the shore) there is hydrilla in four feet of water. Run rattle traps and cranks through the grass and you will get bit. A 7lb and an 8lb plus numerous others were caught this past weekend.
Hope this gives you (and others) some of the info. you need.
Have fun and happy anniversary.
Jeff

Mr. Clyde congradualtions on your anniversary, I hope you have many more.

I will celebrate my 35th this Oct. and never once has my 'hide' wanted to 'go fish' except when we play cards!

My point being; forget the motel, drive straight through and do the guide trip, you just might have a 'Keeper' and fish partner for life if she has a good day fishn!

And who knows, she might let you buy a boat too!
