Did great on Grapevine today! We were fishing the slips at Silverlake and ended up with 54 keepers with 3 of us fishing from 8:30am to 12pm. The biggest of the day was mine which was full of eggs and was almost 3 lbs! Only threw 1 back all morning, rest were huge!! All were caught in 18 to 8 feet in water on Chartreuse Panfish Assassins and chartreuse/green tube jigs...would'nt hit my hackle feather or marabou jigs in the same color. Can't wait to get back at it this week!!!!

LOL! I couldn't believe the size of these fish today! Last week and the week before were nothing close to today. Wish I had a pic of the catch but we gave them all to a couple that came down to the marina to take them to a fish fry. I will get a bunch of fish on Sat fishing with you so my freezer will be happy again

Me and my buddy caught 35 real nice size sandies this weekend at the Vine but were only able to catch 5 keeper and one slab crappie, wich was 1.75 lbs.

We caught the sandies in 24' about 18' down. Were the crappie towards the bottom or top?

They were about 3 cranks off of the bottom in 18'of water in the morning then switched to around 8' deep suspended around noon. I can't wait to hit it up again tomorrow and congrats on your Sandies!

hay stucky. at silverlake were you fishing in and out the slips or outside the ends. i went to scotts landing sunday and i was drifting in and out of the slips catching one or two every try. just as sooon as i caught the fith one(2.4lbs) i got ran out by the staff. i wasnt tied to anything. the man stated when your in the marina with shaded structure your considered trespassing. members only. now id like to try a alternative. i wanta email the game warden and find out if thats try and if he can legally run me off.

hey katfish they can not run you off unless you are tied up i called the warden about a month ago about that problem and the water is public next time tell them to call the warden and keep on fishing

Jigtyer is right....they cannot legally run you off as long as you are not tied up to any part of the marina/slip structure. They don't own the water.

I was fishing on the docks but I am a member there. I see people fish the ends of the slips all the time and they are not tied up and there is no problem with that. It's public water as long as your not tied up. Call the Game Warden for sure...

ill email them today. i was sure, that they couldnt tell me that. i usually fish the end during the summer time. i could of nailed the crappie if i wasnt run off.

is there any open slipps in silver lake marina. i never been there. i fished the end one night for about 30 minutes last summer but didnt catch any. id like to take my kayak and try it out agian like i did in scotts landing.
