They were there last year when the lake was high as well. I was catching them there until October and I haven't tried there yet this year. BigMack is right though about the Murrel Point spot. Plenty of good Sandies there. Also the East side of the island is a good place to look.

They should be showing up after they spawn and when the water starts to warm up. Once the shad start showing up, then the sandies will follow.
