The one we go to most of the time is on south Hulen, south of the mall, next door to Blockbuster. Go past WalMart, accross from Wendy's. Give it a try.
Bob I appreciate the TFF.

Kincaids is the most over rated burger, meat has no flavor, I think pepole just like eating in the the old store. Yes, the old store was cool. now that they have branched out, it will suck. seen it before, you can't beat the original.

Do any of you fellow old farts remember the Chuckwagon hamburger stand that used to be in Cowtown? How about the Red Canary that was on Berry street & the LoneStar Drivein that was at 35 & Berry street? That was a fine place to get a good burger & a beer with carhops that'd bring it out to you! Those were the good old days when there was always a badass 57 Chevy or two & a few deuce coupes under the awning!!
Keep your powder dry & don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!!

Here is one for any of you guys that use to be down around the Ft.Worth Stockyards during the day Leeda`s(sp) you turn at the first red light pass Billy Bob`s it was in the small little strip on the left. There was never burgers and fries but burgers and red beans or burgers and chili just a little old lady "Ms.Leeda" behind the counter cooking burgers. Cokes and Beer in the old style coke boxes and they were on the honer system. Great place

Leta's Grill Never got a chance to eat there. It's rumored that she threw Willie Nelson out of her place.

Kincaid's still serves a great burger but a few other places around town can give them a good run for their money. Tommy's, Charlie's, and Nicky D's, to name a few. (Nicky D's is a family owned convenience store just outside Crowley on 1187. They have outstanding hand-pattied burgers and fresh cut fries. Super nice folks.)
Hank 1951-I remember the Chuckwagons hamburger stands - they were always my favorite place for a cheap burger back in the 60's and 70's. I also remember going to the old Lone Star Drive In on Camp Bowie when I was in high school. We used to drive there after school occasionally and drink a couple of beers to get a buzz. The car hops never asked us for ID's.
FishFear Me-Leta's was a great place to get a burger and beer. Went there many times when I was hanging out on the North Side back in the 80's. Leta was good as gold unless you were crossed her - rich or poor, it didn't matter to her, she would put your backside out the door in a hurry if you didn't follow her rules.
Edit: BTW, just heard the other day that Kincaid's original store may have to move due to a new landlord that wants to triple their rent. Hope that doesn't happen - the original store is a real Ft. Worth landmark.

Speaking of Famous Hamburgers, check out this guys photos of the old place. This should bring back some memories. One other hamburger I forgot to mention is Fred's Cafe on Currie St. Great patio and very good burgers. (although they are getting a little pricey) http://good-times.webshots.com/album/562785394fDvCqn

Thanks Mick!!! Thats the place! Sure wish that it was still around!
OK... Another one was called Mary's (I think). Don't remember exactly where it was located, but it was south of 7th street about 2 blocks and block or two off of Henderson. Seems like there was a car dealership body shop next door.
The burgers were ok, not near the best, but the burger patties were over an inch thick!
