just wondering where y'all have the most luck this time of year.what creeks if any are navigable in a 19 ft skeeter.thanks for any tips.

i have really never heard of aquilla having sand bass run.

gotta spawn somewhere,but yeah i've never heard anyone mention it.caught a few around snake island over the years jizzing,but that's about it.

They run up the creek at the North end. But....tough to get in there with a boat. There is some corps of engineer land that borders the creek.....you can walk in. Actually, the crappie fishing is a lot better. Stop in Peoria and ask how to get to the "Iron Bridge".

Two years ago, when the water was down, I had several good days. They were easy to find on the main lake just watching for the birds. Last year I fished behind the dam when they were letting water out. Plenty of sandies catfish and crappie. You just had to find a spot amongst all the others fishing.
