Has anyone been out on LL lately. Since my Redbud is blooming, my plum got frozen and my Mom's japonica is blooming plus a few other signs .... should be getting good. I'd appreciate any help you can give; haven't been out in a long while Later

I see a bunch of folks have looked at your post but no reply so I have to guess there is nothing exciting going on. I have not been out to LL in a while but I do plan on going this weekend. Based on history we are probably a few weeks from the spawn, but I have to go and see. I am like everyone else on this site, I am as excited for them to start spawning as Eliot Spitzer is for his call girl to get to his hotel room. Oh...no...politics on a fishing site. Kidding, could not resist.

Okay, I hope I have not offened anyone. Eliot Spitzer is the Governor from New York that just got busted for hiring a call girl. No one has laughed at my post so I guess my humor was not welcome. Sorry, again, I actually feel horibble for his family and the Dem affiliates, they had no choice. I love Crappie fishing and reading your post everyday. Bryan

What's that, Eliot Spitzer spawning before crappie are? I see the humour As far as the spawn time, I seem to recall around April 1st things get good. Now I never did have any luck last year w/ the raising water.

Senator Craig was not trolling for Crappie. I feel bad for his family and the Republican party too. They had nothing to do with his acts. Bottom line, take your kids fishing early or keep them out of politics. Bryan

Good comments guys; just got back to the site. Elliot is toast and so is Senator Craig. I think that I'll try Hickory Creek this weekend. If the damned wind would lay down; I'd try some brush on the north shore near the I-35 bridge.
Thanks again; and
Later
