TB2, do you have a 14-foot flat bottom boat, if so I saw you when that happed. Yep was probably me. It was a few weeks ago. I caught several fish at this location but it could use some help so I dumped two 50 lb bags of range cubes on it. I thought it might help it hold fish better. I don't plan on fishing Granger much anymore. I think Georgetown has better quality fish however, I might check this location again in a few weeks. You never know. Those range cubes will attract everthing but crappie. I wouldnt worry about doin that anymore. Hmm! Not gonna fish it anymore but may check that spot out again in a couple of weeks. Let's screw things up for everyone else that caught fish off of that condo by putting range cubes on it. Out of spite I'm sure. I wish I had my own personal stalker!

Wow... just shows ya how dangerous anchoring over a brush pile/condo can be. When possible, a trolling motor should be used. I hear these stories every year. Should be an interesting year, with bigger boats using the little lake with bigger anchors. Should be able to dredge up some really nice brush/condos.... I can't wait to see again the slalom water skiers using jug lines as bouys! Being a city boy, what are range cubes?

Calm down DBman. I checked it out yesterday evening....The condo is still their and so are the fish. N 30 41.147' W 97 20.688'
I didn't catch a single catfish so I wouldn't be to concerned about the cubes but one could debate perhaps they did attract the shad. Every drop of a jig produced a crappie. Look at the photo.......I'd say a pretty good day for this time of year.

Way to go Sunfighter. Im glad to see my kind gesture is appreciated by at least one professional fisherman. Any experienced crappie fisherman knows shad love range cubes. I was actually fishing another brush pile in this cove when I discovered the so called Double Dcondo. It was a windy day in the cove and I dropped anchor about 75 ft upwind of a brush pile. As I was retrieving my anchor I hooked the top of this marvelous contraption and brought it to the surface. I remembered the photo DBman posted on the forum bragging about it. The short 6 upright piece of pipe at the top left gave it away. (I believe DBman put that pipe there to hold the Double D crappie flag.) I must admit I thought about moving it to different location but being the kindhearted ethical fisherman that I amI decided to put it back. I may have moved it a couple of feet DBman but it was purely an accident. I know DBman would never offer to thank me for helping this location out. Sunfighter. Im glad it payed off for you.
Good Fishing,

TB2, did the pipe have two tires still attached to the end and 8 to 10 inches in diameter, light blue color--located between the fishing pier and the walk way steps. If so, you found my pipe. Thanks I had forgot about it being there.

I don't have a Gps unit can anyone provide some general places to where i can find some of the brushpiles mentioned and any Lake advice will be appreciated and where can a good lake map be obtained. i want to try to get out there today through the weekend if i can get weekend deferral on honey-doo's Any info will be GREATLY !! appreciated. You can get a good paper map at the Circleville store, the red store. If they don't have any, send a PM to Sharecropper, I think he was involved in distributing them.
As far as B-piles go, launch at Fox park and start graphing the shorelines in 8 to 15ft of water and u will stumble over many B-piles. If u go past the big rock point where the fishing dock is at, hang a right and graph that shoreline. Good luck....

Welcome aboard! Grab Sharecropper's map is the beginning. Yep, there are a number of piles along that shore line. Fish the shore line and coves. Watch out for the winds on the lake, they can catch you off gaurd. Take your time and be real careful if you try to head up the river. It's not impossible but a stump can dent your prop or strip your bushing.
