Hey All,
I am ate up over the fuel prices as of late and I wanted to do a little informal survey of what the average fisherman is getting MPG wise.
I am looking at what your average is all around driving on a day to day basis. Not hwy vs city but all around MPG. Also would like to know if you have checked it towing.
Please take a minute or two and post up your vheicle.
Also please no war on what is better gas or diesel etc. This is simply a fact finding mission.
Thanks

2002 yukon 5.3l gas 2wd automatic 3.73 posi avg 19mpg 16.0 mpg towing but i drive a little fast most of the time. Stacey you really need to find out what rear end is in your truck it makes a big difference in comparisons of vehicles.

Hey Stan,
That numbers I listed are as stock.
I do have a programmer that does something like 65, 80, and 100 HP and all of them get me slightly better MPG, probably 2 MPG on average.
Even the 100 HP is better than stock as long as I do not hotrod it.
But I wanted a stock comparison
My idea was to collect some data for different brands both gas and diesel and post up the averages here. I figure as long as most are honest then it may help future buyers.
Regards

I can see how running gas in your truck would lower the average fuel milage old town....

Someone once said there are a few things guys will lie about and one of them is fuel mileage and the other is the size of their...I forget the rest of it???? I have the same truck as NitroRick but mine is a 2006 and my in town mileage is around 15 and towing is 13. I have seen in the 18's if I can stay on the highway...but I just don't drive highway unless I have the boat. Rear end ratio in mine is 3.73 too, they do make a 4.10 for the F350.
