i caught 2 in that stretch of river where rebecca creek enters. other than those, all where caught around the mouth and 1st bend of the river. I caught none further up river. Troll shad raps...firetiger and pearl white seemed to be working the best. good luck and watch out for stumps.

40% chance of rain Monday figure the odds? RC ramp was pretty packed today....Could have been room for more but everyone was parallel parked...One guy does it in the rest follow. Im going to launch in the lake and try the mouth to the first bend Saturday.

Like a fool, I went out yesterday afternoon. Keep your heads up - LOTS of monkey business and horseplay going on. Saw a couple guys playing chicken with their bass boats in front of the Rebecca Creek ramp. Lots of guys with no common sense or respect (blowing by people on plane in 2-3 feet of water with people fishing closeby). Lots of drinking. Lost count of the cigarette butts in the water. Almost ran a guy over cause he had no lights!

Also saw a bunch of whites that had been cleaned laying in shallow water, looked to be about 8" long.

I hope nobody gets run over this weekend. River probably won't be fishable till Tuesday...

I went fishing Friday morning and caught 9 whites, 3 keepers, between 9-3 on shad raps. The jointed/suspending shad rap in silver shad pattern seemed to work the best. Boy, am I glad I wasn't there Saturday that would have pissed me off! I guess we have another week or two before they really start running.

I was up there a week ago, I think it was a Tuesday and was trolling up the river when two jet skis came screaming by. About 30 minutes later, one was towing the second one back to the ramp, I think that they might have hit a stump.

I don't wish ill to anyone, but I have to say, that was a little justice!

dang. fridays are starting to get almost as bad as saturdays....especially after noon

last monday was surprisingly a VERY busy day at canyon...i was thinking it must have been some kind of holiday

anyone going out today? sunny, no wind, election day might be a good day.

I may go out this afternoon. My work schedule changed, so I'm trying to get adjusted to it. We will see.

I have fished the river 4 times this year from Cranes Mill and there are always 20 plus boats trolling for whites from the main points to the first left in the river. Everyone is respectful so far. Rebecca Creek attracts too many wackos and the ramp is ridiculus this time of year. I brought in 7 females and 9 males last Friday and never left the lake in front of Cranes Mill.

thinking about being the idiot and going out tommorw in the high winds...had a reshcedule a for kitty trip, might wet a line out there for myself tommorow...anyone else this foolish?
Being on the river, things should be ok. We'll see
