Guys I put in at Texas city Dike. Wife has recently started getting into fishing. A few weeks ago went out to the north Jetty she caught 3 black drum nice keepers and a slot red. I caught an over sized red that we let go and 1 large keeper sheepshead. I need some help, Its been a long time since been out and around the area. I am asking for help to try to find some hotspots to catch some flounder. I know where to go for bull reds but we want to go and catch some flounder. I have a 190 ccf wellcraft. Any help would be appreciated. Like I said I use to wade fish the area a lot with my daughter but that was over 10 yrs ago.......

Minedude,
You might check out Big Pasture Bayou in East Bay...that whole system has many marsh drains with soft bottoms...on a falling tide the flounder will set up just outside the mouths of these drains and wait for shrimp to wash by...this system is pretty big with lots of "fingers" back into the grass that will keep you really busy.

Hey Minedude-
I am pretty new to saltwater fishing and to this forum, so I hope that this helps. Last week I hit the Galveston side of San Luis Pass and hit some of the cuts with finger mullet and mud minnows bounced on the bottom. I caught 3 with my largest being 25 inches. (Can someone tell me how to attach pics?) Hope that this helps and tight lines.

Thanks was hoping that we could get out this week end but at the moment looks like will not be able to try it out. So looks like it will be two more weeks before we can hit the water. (She not going to like that but work comes first.) And thanks for the info .
