 Shallow Crappie??

I have read meany times when the water warms up the crappie bite will be on. Is it just the creeks warm up first or is the creeks where the crappie like to go?? Once the main water warms up will the crappie be on shallow banks or will they still be in the creeks?? Thanks for any info, just tryin to learn somethin:)

The water warms up first in the creeks on the upper end of the lake, then in the back of coves, and then the main lake. In that order.
