If you go back and read the first post you will see that towing a boat, not a tractor, is the subject of this thread.

This is the Texas Fishing Forum, not the Texas Farming Forum.

So sorry...my bad...information is a little slower getting to us out here on the farm...I did not realize that they were making trucks just to drive...out here we use our trucks to get a job done...and sometimes we have to move things...cows, horses, hay, and such...but thats okay...maybe if they sell enough of them I will start growing rice....I will haul it to town in mine and you can burn it in yours.....

Newsflash for you:

We all don't live on farms. Therefore, we all do not need to haul cows, horses, goats, pigs, chickens, tractors, or hay. For a lot of us, a 1/2 ton truck will do just fine. Why don't you take that into consideration before posting. Furthermore, if you will go back and read the text that accompanied the photo I posted, you will see that I said it was MY ultimate tow vehicle. You do understand the meaning of the word MY, don't you?

Lastly, if there is a way I can burn rice in my truck, and do it cheaper than unleaded, start planting.

Im with you on the American vehicle thing to a point. A lot of American cars are made in Canada or Mexico. If Im not mistaken the Tundra is built in the USA.

You mean assembled in instead of "built in" or "made in"? Parts are outsourced all over the place, what you have to ask yourself is which economy gets the profit from each manufacture US or Japan?

There are plenty of people in the US with good jobs because of Toyota/Nissan Etc. Every dealership, plant, service center, are all jobs created by them. FYI buying an american truck so the Ford family can get rich is no different than buying a Toyota. A lot of the money ends up overseas anyways.

I think the number is around 400,000 as far as US jobs created by toyota and that include the 1700 dealerships and service centers. Ford and Chev. are approx. 1.9 million and 1.2 million. I currently have 5 vehicles (some vettes and a dually) and 1 is an import (a supercharged British SUV) Its about stock horsepower to me (i contribute to high gas prices so its not like i think i always do whats right for the country). Im not totally against imports. It just is what it is.

some of yall may argue with me but i will still say this is America Not Japan or where ever else them other "trucks" come from. if ya want a truck get a truck not a "truck"
I will never buy a vehicle that is not made in the US!
