I got two suggestions,
1)go to radio shack and pick up a 10 aa battery holder sold the neg and pos wire to a 9 v heavy duty connect for easy disconnect and some rechargeable batteries so you dont spend to much on batteries. Another positive is you can always buy AA anywhere.about 3 trips 4-6 hrs no prob per charging
2)12v 7amp (i think) house alarm battery heavier alot more power you can also run your bait tank as well from the same battery. For your bait tank if using a 5 gallon bucket reverse the polarities for a softer flow before you drown your bait.

I have several alarm batteries if you want to meet up I'll give you one. Just PM me and we can come up with a time and place.

I personally use a 10 count with rechargable AAs and it works perfectly for me. The 10 count, as opposed to the 8 count because rechargables put out 1.2 v compared to regular 1.5 v AAs. I actually have mine set up with an 8 count and a two count, so if I am using just regular AAs, I can unhook the additional 2 batteries. You can got either route, but ggoytia is right in that you can always just pick up AAs anywhere if you get in a bind. Plus, they are small and light.

The alarm battery is good, or a lot of guys seem to be using the 12v deer feeder batteries. I don't know if the alarm battery is rechargable, so maybe Jerry can respond to that, but I know the deer feeders are.

Regardless, I think picking something that is rechargeable and light is the best way to go.

I haven't yet even bought my graph but planned to buy a 12 volt deer feeder battery to power it up. Then it is just a matter of recharging as needed.

I don't have all the answers, but I'm a quick learner!

Yes, the alarm batteries are rechargeable. They are virtually the same thing as the deer feeder batteries.

Be sure to check the charge before heading out. I went out today for a few hours of fishing, and right as I paddled into the cove I wanted to work, my battery went out on me. I had enough left to have a quick look at various places for a minute at a time. I think I could have had a much easier time of it had I thought to check the charge.
