Other than lake belton and stillhouse are there any private or public lakes in the Temple area, that a college kid like myself could do some catch and release fishing? Thanks Lance baseballlcr@yahoo.com

Lions Park Pond in Temple gets winter trout stocking as does another pond and Nolan Creek in Belton. you can get directions to Lion's Park on the city of Temple website, and the trout are in Nolan Creek right above the low water crossing by BCYC. i know you can also fish the creek up and down behind the prison for perch, carp, small bass.
