Hey I was out at Bridgeport Sunday in a red Lowe, on my way in when I saw a few boats by the bridge. I started up my fishfinder to see what was going on, and the screen went solid black with shad. I dropped a slab down to see if I could pick up a sandie or something, all I did was snag shad. No fish. What was going on with that? The reason I ask is cause I saw you come up to the guy in the Champion CC and talk to him, I tried to flag you down, but you left in a hurry. Where were all the fish? Why was there nothing under the shad? I have never in my life seen a school of shad like that with nothing under them.

If its anything like Lewisville, there is so much bait fish that they move from buffet to bufffet without thinking twice. The thought is that the flood gave the bait so much new cover and food that the is now an abundance. My $.02 anyways...

Hey, I remember you out there, I am sorry I did not see you wave at me. I took off after visiting with Britton to get the wife. I think Markk is dead on, the fish have alot to eat! I cleaned 12 big Sandies Sat. evening, every one of them had 5-10 shad stuffed in them. I saw the bait too. Sometimes there were fish around them, sometimes in with them. I caught em' Sunday, or rather the wife caught em', but it was not as steady as you would have thought it would be. Keith Bunch www.lakebridgeportguideservice.com

Red Lowe
The fishing was great for a while, then slowed down, then started back up again. I was with Britton. I've never seen that many shad as well, sometimes so thick it gave his finder a false bottom reading. Crazy!!

That is our thoughts down here on Belton Lake. We have some very large shad clouds not balls. Too much bait. The hybrids are never hungry. It is like picking yellow squash in a garden, at lunch go and pick one of many then do it again at supper.
