I have not been to Palo Pinto in about 3 or 4 weeks but according to the USGS page water level is 864.19 and in the past these numbers have been accurate. Normal level is 867.00. You should be able to get into the creek. If you make it out let us know with a fishing report. With spring around the corner I am finishing up town home projects and will soon be aut there working on lake house projects.

I am new to the forum and not much of a fisherman yet but I do live about 5 miles from Palo Pinto lake and I've been up in the creek twice this week. You can get in there easily. The two times I went this week I only caught 2 crappie and 1 sandie, a big female. I wasn't really fishing that hard though, more just playing with new boat and trying to learn new fish finder. My boy was fishing while I was piddling. You guys spend much time out there? I'm just learning the lake.

I have a lake house on Palo Pinto on the South side of lake. during the spring, summer, and fall try to get out every weekend. In the spring and early summer sometimes during the week. If you are fishing for sandbass we have good luck after the spawn on humps close to the dam, by the point I know as shirely's bait shack point use to have a bait shop there now a big beautiful house, and a hump mid lake close to river channel. Got a GPS unit at Christmas and will be marking GPS coord. soon. When I have them will be glad to share. I fish out of an 18 ft. KENNER center console white. If you see me out stop and say hi.
Have a TFF sticker on the windshield of boat. Also the game warden is sometimes on the lake his name is Cliff. Great guy. If he is out there stop and visit he will pass information about where the fish are or maybe.

Vincent,
I would appreciate that sharing. I'll look out for you and you do the same. I'm fishing in an 18 ft aluminum flat bottom rigged up for bowfishing. It has a fan motor mounted above the outboard and big lights on the front of the boat. Can't miss it. I live in Lone Camp, east of Hwy 4, 5 miles from the marina. Hope to see ya.

Have not fished up the creek the last 2 or 3 years due to dry conditon and lake levels. have fished creek in the past and done well at times.

Know the store at Lone Camp well when we need an ice cream run when at the lake. Will look for you on the lake. Planning to head out Sunday just to check on house and place. Not bringing boat this trip but will not be long.
