thanks, this creek is full of them, I was fishing for catfish, but today it was just these two, cant complain though it was cool seeing a fish this big

Try not to gill the fish though... it can harm there gill rakers, and they need those to breath.... but it don't look like they where released any way. smile

the were both released, even though most people would have killed the carp or the drum, I see no reason to. To me, I just enjoy catching fish, and would like to keep catching them so I always release them. They were both healthy and released just fine. I will remember not to gill them next time. Thanks for the info! Yes I am stationed here on hood.

I haven't caught too many drum in my time, but that one looks a bit scrawny to me. Is that true, or do most drum look like that?

A brightly colored carp for sure. Most of the drum I have caught are sort of wretched looking.
