Favorites..

1. hard body poppers - Pecks or Bett's - white is favorite.
2. Deerhair poppers, with weed guards.
3. Dalhberg Divers.
4. wooly bugger - olive, white, or black
5. Clousers.

let me cheat and add a few more:
- decievers
- flies with spinners - inline spinner, or spinner/swivel tied at hook bend.

John 5:24 Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

1Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

I have to agree with cabal (and by extension several others earlier) almost 100%. I started fly fishing using cork poppers for bass, and I love fishing with them. Deer hair poppers are awesome too, and even for smallies. Since I've moved to Central Texas I've become a big fan of wooly buggers, which I think are arguably the most versatile fly around (here at least).

Those flys are generally called deer hair bass bugs. I call mine 5Bs (Big Bad Bodacious Bass Bugs) wink I tied up five more last night to give as door prizes at the next BVFF club meeting.. Wednesday March 5th 7PM at the Eagle Newspaper in Bryan..

Well they are some lucky folks that get one for a door prize. I am gonna have to Google those I guess in order to see how to make one. I have made some close to it, but not quite. You aren't going to Athens on the 8th are you?

The ones with more black are my favorites. Just beautiful flies. Outstanding.

Jerry,
Let me get this next BVFF meeting taken care of and then I'll tie you up a couple to test for me.. How would you like a "hook-up" weedless rabbit strip one with a built-in rattle?
