Glad to here you got into them on G-town Cropper. Sure would like to give that lake a go. Got a seat available anytime soon to show me the lake?

Keep on fishing.

Is there a place to fish on lake georgetown that you don't need a boat to fish?

There is/was a fishing pier at Jim Hogg Park, since the flood I do not know if it is fishable. Call the Corp office 930-LAKE.

Wife and I went up the river to fish in 3 to 8 foot of water today. Water temp was 63, ended up keeping 14 crappie. Total catch was 18 crappie, 2 lmb and 1 carp.

Both the dock at Cedar Breaks and Hogg were not fishable as of New Years when we were there. However you can still access the bank where they were anchored down at the end of the sidewalks.

With the lake being back up to normal pool levels, fishing from the lookout is a good option. There are a few brush piles near there as well as back of the coves by Hogg. Wondering why the boat dock at Hog is still on the shore vs back on the water?

Sabot - I was at cedar breaks with my son a little while ago, and the fishing dock was essentially folded back on itself, and resting upside down up the bank. If I'm out there again anytime soon I'll take a picture. It's just that they haven't repaired it since the flood last summer, not the actual lake level that's the problem. The courtesy dock at the ramp looked fine though, not sure about the one at JH.

Agfisher, My back seat is full for the next few trips I think, but I'll send a PM if it opens up. I'm pretty new myself to the lake though. You can get lots of good info on g-town using the search feature on these forums. Certainly use that tool.
