i went saturday morning. of course it was raining and the creek was running pretty fast. the water was really muddy. everything i expected. no bites at all. i figure if we let the water calm down a little and the temps get a little warmer, it should turn on for us!

Were they holding up around the banks? I may go out there this weekend and jig around. What's the best method?

I was thinking about going out there at sunrise on Sunday. Ive only been once and didnt even fish. Just stopped by to take a look, so Ill be a rookie at this creek but thought maybe I could try it out. Im not sure about any spots to fish at and/or how far down to walk so I dont expect to have any luck.

went out today from 11 until about 5. not a single bite all day! started at the bridge and floated almost to the lake. saw some other boaters and the most i heard was 2 small ones caught. the game warden was out though checking fishing licenses. had some ignorant jet skiers come all the way from lake to the bridge. caused giant wakes and made everyone mad! i tried to yell at them to slow down or stop but of course they were cowards and kept going. very irritating!! oh well...............

so hopefully the fishing will get better in the next couple of weeks because it was no good today!

TXstryker....a friend of mine who is also a member of this forum (Kayakguy) was out fishing there today too. Right after the Jet skiers came through there he called me to tell me how pissed he was. I would have picked up a few rocks and put an end to their fun. Too bad the game warden didn't witness these Dumba****. Next time just pile up some rocks at your side so you can have your ammo waiting...... wink

I'm not for violence against idiots. I just hope they try this neat little trick during the summer when the water's down.....have 'em get beached in the creek.

I was out at lewisville about 2 weeks ago around the mouth of Hickory Creek, on the North side of Jack's Island, when I look up and see a jet ski/sea doo hauling butt through the stumps. He was not in the boat lane but was making circles around the Island. It is really hard to believe that people are really that stupid!! My guess is the guy I saw a few weeks ago just may be one of the Morons that was hauling butt up the creek today. Like you say, let him try this trick when the water is down.....he may be up the creek without a paddle if you know what I mean.
