Ok... so i've got a question about runnin spinners... i get a whole buncha line twist when i use these which take distance off my casts... used a small black barrel swivel with about a 2 ft leader and that eliminated all my line twist... i could cast where i wanted to without a problem... now for the question... Do any of ya'll know of a spinner that really doesn't make a lot of twist in the line??? i've tried all in my box... i dont have any that dont twist the line... just wonderin whats out there that i Dont have that would help! Thanks

It's been a LONG while, but I don't ever remember much line twist when using Panther Martins during my childhood years of trout fishing. smile

JD, I fish almost exclusively a road runner and hardly ever have line twist. when I've had line twist it seems that the RR was not running trus and causing the entire lure to spin. I also believe you're less likely to have line twist if you use a slow retrieve.

I seem to get line twist with the inlines as well.thats why i keep a spool of yozuri 4lb with me at all times.Yozuri is good stuff well worth the money. Most of the time when i get a snag instead of losing my lure it will straighten a hook.keep in mind that they arent big hooks though, just the right size for the sandies.

I love this creek! I have fished it for 17 years now with great success. However the last 2 years I was out of state. I am back and live right on it. I will hit it in the morning around 7AM with my 7 year old son. He loves to fish and this will be his first ultra light experience. We will enter at the 2 pond in Lakes of Springfield area (2 ponds and park with soccer fields). The city has provided a RC area and that is where we will park. I usually have a good catch there and it has some friendly banks for him. Good luck to all. I will report back tomorrow.
