anyone ever fished the spillway behind the dam at joe pool?

i have fished it along time ago i stoped fishing it when car started getting stolen. they probly got it under control now but back in the day it was a great spot.

i did during the summer tossed out my cast net to get some shad put on a live shad and wham caught a nice sand bass but then it got too hot lol

i have been there lots, when the water is letting out i have had some real good luck. Fishin a slab and jig combo. Catch alot of sand bass. Just be careful - reel in fast, there is alot to get hung up on the bottom

FYI it is a release gate and not a spillway. I fish there all the time and catch lots of sandies, drum, buffs and a few carp even. Not too many catfish for me but I don't target them either
